Wellbeing is not just the absence of disease or illness. It’s a complex combination of a person’s physical, mental, emotional and social health factors. Wellbeing is strongly linked to happiness and life satisfaction. In short, wellbeing could be described as how you feel about yourself and your life.

Four Pillars to achieve good wellbeing

In today’s time when everyone is running to achieve various goals in their lives, we are kind of ignoring our health by not having proper nutritious food on time, quality of sleep being compromised and no or very less exercise. It is difficult to find time for these activities but if we want to enjoy the fruits of our hard work (we are doing now), we need to live long and achieve good health to survive this roller-coaster ride that we are in currently.

In order to achieve good health, lifestyle changes are to be made and below mentioned four pillars will help us achieve that.

  1. Nutritious Food: Avoid fast foods and prefer home cooked meals with a balance of carbs + proteins +fibre
  2. Exercise: try to get yourself involved in routine, start with 20 min of brisk walk daily at fixed time
  3. Quality Sleep: Ideally all humans should have 7-8 hours of uninterruptable sleep, which is little difficult in today’s life
  4. Calm Mind : Indulge yourself in meditation, journaling or listen to some of your favorite songs before sleeping
